St.Thomas Mission society, the Parent Body of MGM College, MGMHSS, MGM Hostel etc felicitated HSSLC Rank holders of MGMHSS and semester toppers of MGM College on 22nd June, in a function organized at MGM College.
Memento and cash award was given to Ms.Suhana Begum (1st Rank, HSSLC, Commerce), Ms.Shingke Pongmai (2nd Rank, HSSLC,Arts).
From MGM College Ms. Akung, 1st semester topper, Mr.Idimchu & Ms. Limatula Aier (4th semester toppers) was also felicitated with K.V.Ponnan memorial cash award.
During the function a new Rolling trophy and Cash award was declared by the Bishop, in the loving memory of Late Ms.Priyanka Ganta, B.A(Pol.Sc) second semester student, who died in a car accident on 12th February,2019 at Lalmati on their way to attend Zoomax competition organized by the Nagaland University. Earlier St.Thomas Mission Society donated Rs.2 lakhs to late Priyankas parents and in her memory a scholarship and Rolling trophy has been introduced at the college to keep her memory for ever. The first Rolling trophy and cash award was given to Ms.Akung , B.A 2nd semester, by Manager Bishop His Grace Dr.Joseph Mar Dionysius in the presence of Priyankas parents Mr.G.Madhav Rao & Mrs.G.Pushpa Rao along with Dimapr Telungu Baptist Church pastor Rev.V.K.Rao and Mr.B.V.Sreedhar.
