PATRIOTISM IN SPIRIT: MGM COLLEGE ON REPUBLIC DAY
MGM College celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride and patriotic enthusiasm on 26th January at the college campus. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, marking a solemn tribute to the nation. The occasion was graced by Administrator Fr. Giju George, who delivered an inspiring address highlighting the sanctity of the Indian Constitution, democratic ideals, and the enduring national values that guide the country’s progress. His message emphasized responsibility, unity, and active citizenship among the youth. The formal programme unfolded with a reverent invocation prayer, setting a reflective tone for the celebration. This was followed by a captivating patriotic presentation titled “Echoes of Vande Mataram” by the NSS students, which resonated deeply with the audience and evoked a strong sense of national pride. The highlight of the programme was the Republic Day message by the Principal, Dr. R. K. Behera, who called upon students, faculty, and staff to uphold constitutional values, contribute to nation-building, and work towards a stronger and more inclusive India. The programme concluded on a stirring note with the patriotic song “Maa Tujhe Salaam”, followed by a benediction prayer. The celebration was conducted successfully and instilled a profound sense of patriotism, unity, and national commitment among all present.
